Privacy policy
The short version: we know your Telegram ID and the settings you chose, nothing else about you. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number or payment details, and we never sell or share your data.

Who we are
PathAu is a Telegram bot (@pathau_bot) and this website. It is run by an individual based in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller for what is described below. Contact: artassasin83@gmail.com.
What we store, and why

We do not collect your email address, real name, phone number, address, payment details or precise device location. Telegram does not give the bot any of these.
Lawful basis
Providing the alerts you asked for is the contract between us. Using your taps and decision logs to improve accuracy is our legitimate interest, and it changes nothing about what you receive.
This website
The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no fonts, scripts or images from other companies. Like any web server, ours keeps an access log (your IP address, the time, the page requested and your browser's user-agent) to keep the site working and to spot abuse. Those logs are kept for 14 days and then deleted.
Who else handles your data
- Telegram. Messages between you and the bot travel through Telegram, which handles them under its own privacy policy.
- Our hosting provider, Contabo GmbH. Our server, database and backups are hosted with Contabo, in the United Kingdom.
- Google (Gemini) and Apify. We send the public text and photos of marketplace listings to Google's Gemini API to read the specifications, and we use Apify to collect public Facebook Marketplace listings. No user data goes to either of them. Your Telegram ID, settings and taps are never included.
- eBay Partner Network. If you click an affiliate link and buy, eBay tells us a purchase happened and pays a commission. That report doesn't identify you to us.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising or share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
- Your account record, settings, taps and decision logs are kept until you ask us to delete them. We do not currently delete them automatically.
- The list of recent alerts that the bot lets you page through is held for about 3 days.
- Website access logs: 14 days.
- Database backups are overwritten in the normal course of things, so a deleted record can remain in a backup for a short time before it is gone.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. You can also stop alerts at any time with the Pause alerts button, which needs no email at all.
To use any of these rights, write to artassasin83@gmail.com with your Telegram username. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Who this is for
PathAu is for adults who buy and resell computer hardware. It is not aimed at anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change what we store or who handles it, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
