PathAu Price Check — a free Discord bot for UK used PC prices
Paste an eBay, Gumtree, Vinted or Facebook link — or just the specs — and PathAu tells you what it really sells for in the UK, part by part, from real sold listings, not asking prices. Add an asking price and you get a straight answer: under value, fair or overpriced.
Add to my Discord or add it to a server you run
“Add to my Discord” puts /value on your own account: it works in any server and DM, no admin needed. Free, 20 checks a day.
How to use it
- /value — a link or the specs (Ryzen 5 5600, RTX 3070, 16GB, 1TB NVMe), optional price. You get each part's used price, the total, a whole-PC price and, with a price, how far under or over value it is.
- Right-click any message → Apps → Price this listing — prices a “selling my PC for £…” post or another bot's deal right in the chat.
- /price — one part's UK used price, with suggestions as you type.
- /deals — the best under-value PCs and GPUs from the last 24 hours.
Where the prices come from
- A ledger of 132,688 used PC part sales on eBay UK since 8 June 2022 — the price the buyer actually paid, UK sellers, condition Used.
- Faulty, boxed-only, job lots, bundles and outliers are thrown out; a sale only counts for a model when the title names it exactly (a 3060 is not a 3060 Ti).
- Each part's price is the median of what's left, in a window that fits how fast that part's market moves. Every reply says how many sales are behind it.
- Every price is public: used PC part prices · the full method: how we price.
- Consoles and MacBooks are priced as one item from sales of the same model. All-in-ones and Windows laptops aren't priced — the screen and build are most of their value, and a parts guess would mislead you.
Who uses these prices
/value runs on the engine behind PathAu's deal alerts — the alerts people pay for. If the prices were wrong, they would lose money on every alert.
- 400+ people in the UK have a PathAu account.
- Members have pressed “Bought it” under our alerts 28 times.
- The same prices value about 3,144 new listings a day on eBay UK, Gumtree, Vinted and Facebook Marketplace.
“I got it for 85 pounds and expected to sell for 120”
“Got it on Vinted for £50 and then resold it on eBay for £85. Easiest £35 of my life.”
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't read your server or your messages — only what you paste or right-click.
- It doesn't post on its own, ping anyone or need any permissions.
- It doesn't promise a sale price: a median says nothing about one card's condition. When a listing is far below value, the bot says so and tells you how to check it — far too cheap is more often a scam than a bargain.
Who runs it
PathAu is built and run by Artem Kulyk, a sole trader in Scotland. It makes money from deal-alert subscriptions; the price check is free.
Questions
Is the PathAu Discord bot free?
Yes. /value, /price and /deals are free, 20 checks a day per person. PathAu makes money from deal-alert subscriptions, not from the price check.
Do I need to be a server admin to use it?
No. Choose “Add to my Discord” and /value works for you in any server or DM. Server owners can also add it for everyone.
Where do the prices come from?
From real eBay UK sold listings — what buyers actually paid for used parts, UK sellers only, with faulty items, bundles and outliers removed. Each part's price is the median.
Which links work?
eBay, Gumtree, Vinted and Facebook Marketplace links, or the specs typed out.
Does it read my messages?
No. It only sees what you paste into /value or the message you right-click.
Does it price laptops?
MacBooks, yes, by model, memory and storage. Windows laptops and all-in-ones, no.
